Privacy Policy — Crisis

Last updated: March 3, 2026

Crisis: Live World News Map ("the App") is developed by CB Studio. This policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects minimal data:

• Analytics Data — Anonymous usage statistics via Firebase Analytics (screen views, feature usage). No personally identifiable information is collected.
• Crash Reports — Automatic crash data via Firebase Crashlytics to improve stability.
• Advertising — Google AdMob may collect device identifiers for personalized ads (free tier only). Pro subscribers see no ads.
• Purchase Data — In-app purchase history is processed by Google Play / Apple App Store, not by us.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or files
• User-generated content

3. News Content

Crisis is a news aggregator. All news articles are sourced from established third-party publishers (BBC, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, NPR, NYT, CNBC, etc.). We do not create original news content. Each article displays its original source attribution.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google) — Analytics & Crashlytics
• Google AdMob — Advertising
• Google Play Services — In-app purchases

5. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Crash reports are retained for 90 days. No personal data is stored on our servers.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
